Parts Delivery Driver

L&S Truck Center is a local, family run Dealership looking for a Parts Delivery Driver who wants to join our Parts team.  We are committed to growing our Dealership with a forward thinking, dedicated Parts Delivery Driver with a drive and willingness to produce quality workmanship. 

Hours: Part Time 9am to 6pm variable

Pay: $16 per hour

Part Time Benefits:

Responsibilities:

·       Safely and efficiently operate a delivery vehicle to transport parts

·       Adhere to traffic laws and maintain a clean driving record

·       Ensure accurate and timely delivery of automotive parts to designated locations

·       Verify the correct parts and quantities before delivery

·       Load and unload parts from the delivery vehicle

·       Handle parts with care to prevent damage

·       Maintain delivery logs and records

·       Collect signatures or proof of delivery as required

·       Perform basic vehicle maintenance, such as checking oil tires and brakes

·       Report any mechanical issues promptly

·       Provide excellent customer service during deliveries

·       Address any customer inquiries or concerns professionally

·       Communicate effectively with Manager regarding schedules or issues encountered

·       Follow company policies and procedures related to delivery operations

Requirements:

·       Possess a valid driver's license

·       Good driving skills and knowledge of local traffic laws

·       Ability to life and carry heavy automotive parts

·       Efficient time management skills to meet delivery schedules

·       Clear communication skills for interacting with customers and colleagues

·       Dependability and punctuality in meeting delivery commitments

·       Accurate checking of parts and attention to detail during deliveries

Service Technician

A Technician is responsible for the actual service and /or repair of vehicles assigned to them by service management or their designated representatives. 

They must complete all work according to the applicable safety requirements and published procedures.  Maintain an inventory  of normal mechanic's tools.  Properly use the special tools and equipment provided by the Service Department.  Produce quality work that evidence pride in workmanship.

This is a physically demanding position. Must be able to stand for 7 to 8 hours, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, handle and feel.  This person must be able to lift up to 75lbs.

Service Advisor for Heavy Duty Trucks

Job Summary: The Service Advisor for Heavy Duty Trucks acts as a liaison between the customer and the service department. They are responsible for understanding customer needs, coordinating service schedules, and ensuring timely and effective maintenance and repair of heavy-duty trucks. This role requires excellent communication skills, technical knowledge of heavy-duty trucks, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Hire On Bonus:  No

Hours: Full Time

Pay: $45,000-$55,000 per year plus commission

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Interaction:

    • Greet customers and listen to their concerns regarding their heavy-duty trucks.

    • Provide detailed information about the services offered and the maintenance or repair process.

    • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing questions and resolving issues promptly.

  2. Service Coordination:

    • Schedule service appointments and manage the workflow of the service department.

    • Ensure that all work is performed efficiently and to the highest standards.

    • Communicate with the service team to relay customer concerns and specific vehicle issues.

  3. Technical Assistance:

    • Provide preliminary diagnostics based on customer descriptions and initial inspections.

    • Advise customers on necessary repairs, estimated costs, and time required for service.

    • Stay updated on the latest technologies and repair techniques for heavy-duty trucks.

  4. Documentation and Record Keeping:

    • Maintain accurate records of services provided, parts used, and customer interactions.

    • Prepare service estimates, invoices, and other required documentation.

    • Ensure all records are kept up-to-date and comply with company policies and industry regulations.

  5. Parts and Inventory Management:

    • Coordinate with the parts department to ensure availability of necessary parts for repairs.

    • Assist in managing inventory levels and ordering parts as needed.

    • Ensure that all parts used are correctly documented and charged to the appropriate service order.

  6. Quality Control:

    • Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and customer expectations.

    • Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any further concerns.

    • Implement and maintain best practices for service delivery and customer care.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in automotive service is preferred.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a service advisor or similar role, preferably with heavy-duty trucks.

  • Strong knowledge of heavy-duty truck systems, maintenance, and repair procedures.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficient in using service management software and other computer applications.

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily works in an office setting within a service department.

  • May be required to work in the service area, which may involve exposure to noise, fumes, and varying temperatures.

  • Regular interaction with customers, technicians, and parts personnel.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.

  • Occasionally required to lift and carry objects up to 25 pounds.
